Acrylic painting

Otto Röhm invented acrylic resin, which was quickly transformed into acrylic paint. As early as 1934, the first usable acrylic resin dispersion was developed by German chemical company BASF, and patented by Rohm and Haas. The synthetic paint was first used in the 1940s, combining some of the properties of oil and watercolor. Between 1946 and 1949, an American artist Leonard Bocour and the world's first artist acrylic paint Sam Golden who developed Magna Paint.

Advantage of acrylic painting to dry quickly compared with oil painting. On the contrary, it is difficult to amend the part of painting after dry-up. it is possible only to paint over again with some risk of the previous color cannot be seen.

Acrylic color for canvas painting normally sell each single color in tube.
I create in my studio each single color by myself with mixing acrylic binder and pigments (see photos). Because, I could create necessary colors on spot by myself.
